FOR IMMEDITATE RELEASE:
Reflecting on Change: How does this feel?
In these bizarre and unpredictable times with a global pandemic, an insurrection, continuous
battling for basic human rights, and more, we are forced to reflect on the state of the world, of
the U.S. and ways to cope through these incidents. “Reflecting on change: How does this
feel?” is a multimedia exhibition featuring the work of contemporary artists: Cynthia Mason,
Eugene Ag., and Cindy Leung at Coco Hunday. This exhibition will show artwork using
juxtaposing un-traditionally fine art materials to grapple with identity and the tactility of
materials in new, innovative ways. This exhibition will feature a resurgence of craft media that
has been transformed into contemporary practices over the past decade. By using these
alternative mediums and techniques, artists are able to intertwine both material exploration and
personal histories to share their varied experiences as a reflection of the times.
Curators, Krystle Lemonias and Aimee Jones are MFA candidates at the University of South
Florida. This exhibition will host a virtual opening through IG live
on https://www.instagram.com/psychicjacuzzi/. Krystle will moderate a discussion with each
artist about their works and art practices. Follow @psychicjacuzzi all week to learn more about
the featured artists and their works. We also welcome in person visitors during this opening
who follows social distancing guidelines and with a face mask.
